Hi, my name is Pam and I can’t wait to work with you and my partner Lisa to make the vision for your space a reality. Nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing a dream for a room come to life.
I think I drove my mother a little
mad while growing up, as I was continually rearranging my room, painting and
repainting furniture and pounding nails into my walls to get my pictures just
right. What I didn’t know is that she liked what I did and started asking my
advice on how to decorate certain rooms in our house.
When I was married and living in a
place of my own, I started pouring over magazines and ripping out pages of
ideas for my future house. I even convinced our landlady to allow us to paint
the atrocious wood paneling in our little duplex white. Once, when my mother in
law was in town we decided to recover an old (70's pattern) couch that had been in their
family for years. Neither of us had
done it before but that didn’t intimidate us. We forged ahead! After some trial
and error we had it recovered and friends started asking me to help them with
their reupholstering projects. A designer was born!
Ever since, I have been helping friends and
family any chance I can to make their homes into the space they desire. I love color,
texture, pattern, whimsy, weird, fun, unexpected, classy, modern and everything
in between.
Lisa and I love pushing ourselves to think outside the box to create fantastic, smart and amazing spaces.
Hi, my name is Lisa, and I’ll confess… I may have a slight obsession with spray paint. And, while we’re on the subject, I’m also powerless against a good furniture flea market find, rustic wood, quality original art, smart (and pretty) organization, bold modern stripes and displays of crisp white dishes.
So what, you say?—Well, through teaching at the university and museum levels for my graduate degree in Art Education, I discovered that I love helping people ignite their creative flame, which is exactly what I now love about helping people design and decorate their homes. Finding new solutions for a space to function better while also being more pleasing to the eye is absolutely thrilling to me, and I think everyone can have a space they love, on any budget.
I love a good deal, my measuring tape, and my level, and my creativity tends to be careful and calculated, but that is why I appreciate Pam’s gusto spontaneity.
